This series is an exploration of deliberate burnt paper. I moved matches with intention, shaping the perfect holes and defining the precise lines of black charcoal. The movement created by the burnt openings guided me in forming my drawing with colored inks, closing and completing the motion that already existed.
This exhibition was a continuation of the previous one, still dedicated to the human experience. Featuring smaller paintings and a more intimate number of figures, it explores a shift in connection. This time, people are coming closer, bridging the distance that once kept them apart.
This exhibition was dedicated to the human experience. In today's world, we share the same spaces, yet loneliness remains present. Everyone is consumed by their own problems and thoughts, creating a silent distance between us. Through my work, I explored this contrast, highlighting the tension between togetherness and isolation.
For my second exhibition, I focused on creative experimentation, using materials that inspire me. I incorporated sculpture and tapestry to add depth and texture, creating a more dynamic experience. This approach allowed me to explore new artistic techniques while staying true to my vision.
My first solo exhibition took place just after I returned to Cyprus. I had missed the landscape of Cyprus, the sun, the sea, the wild vegetation, the trees of the area... I painted details of the water, the rocks, the stones, the roots... taking from nature the elements that suited me and complementing them with my own feelings.
